hi fellow members,

everyone in the tyre and alloy section talks about perfomance tyres like michelin pilot preceda, brigdestone potenza g3, goodyear f1, etc... etc...

this query is different....

i wanna talk on behalf of people who don't want a out and out performance tyre but want a tyre which you could say is a step below in performance but a good mix of other qualities... namely...

1. tyre road noise inside the car cabin. ( since performance tyres tend to be noisy )

2. fuel econony. ( since performance tyres decrease fuel economy )

3. softer ride. ( since performance tyres tend to be harder )

4. longer tyre life. ( since performance tyres tend to have a shorter shelflife )

5. also a performance level a notch below ( you can say next best or second in line to performance tyres ) along with the above qualities....

it is also my sincere request to members both seniors and newbies to kindly only post if they have secure knowledge of what they are suggesting or have personally used any of the tyres they mention or maybe some one from the tyre bussiness who knows what he/she is talking about.....

because at the end of the forum i want to be able to reach a decision to actually buy a tyre and not get futher confused....

Thanking you all in anticipation...

Search the tire and alloy wheel section. There is a thread by a very similar name

hi binz...

thanks for the answer but buddy i hope you realize how biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigggggg is the tyre and alloy section....

if you assking me to find it there .... "Search the tire and alloy wheel section. There is a thread by a very similar name"...... atleast give me the thread's name... otherwise it'll take me a week only to find the thread...

thanks

For all your requirements Michelin Energy XM1 or Bridgestone Turanza ER60 should be the most suitable option.....

Here's a similar thread
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/tyre-a...set-tyres.html

I'll suggest Bridgestone ER60 for your needs.

I heard that Apollo Acelere is good. Pricing wise it is Rs.400 less than B Potenzas. Torenzas are good too...

Comparing Potenza GIIIs with Accelere's would not be fair....GIIIs are class apart...

Its Turanza !! There are different models in that like ER60 , ER 30 , ER300 ....ER60 is the latest one....

Does the forum have an end? LOL. Make your own judgement, different people have different views. :)

Rana - A few questions for you:

a. What car are you looking at tyres for?

b. What sizes are you looking at? Do you want to upsize or use the stock size?

However, based on your criteria I would say the perfect match for you would be the following tyres:

Michelin Energy XM1/Michelin Vivacy
Yokohama C-Drive
Bridgestone Turanza

I've ranked them in the order of my personal preference. You would be very happy with either of them in your car. But what you can get depends on what size you want & for what car so until you tell us that we can't give you an exact answer.

Hope this helps.

how is goodyear ducaro gdi and bridgestone RE -88

Horrible tyres.
It came as an OEM with Accent Tornado.Too much road noise and hard rubber..

For which car are u searching for a tyre upgrade??
well, based on ur criteria, you could check out the pirelli P 6000.... its what i am using presently for my OHC.

Like all OE bridgestones are.

I am sure they wont be as bad as the MUL OE JK Tyres :D

Good topic rana. I too wanted to settle inbetween & this thread would be useful.

This is the sole pointer always stands inbetween my purchase. But always liked broader profiles, would go for it shortly
