NO it cant

i personally would not go over 15inch with 195mm width for a swift.
if you must have 16inch with occasional travel over bad road then increase the side profile and go with less width (195mm max). dont forget the bigger size wheel also adds weight, so you have to decide if you want performance or looks??

LBM, no offense but with 215's and all the ICE does your car even move ?

Khaadu try sticking to 195 width. Going over board with the width will only cause more rolling friction and slow you down.

Mountain boy, stick to 195/60/15's. Should suffice.

Khaadu..!!
Better to stick with 195/60-15.
I recently drove & sat in Karthik's Swift with 205/50 the ride for the rear passenger is really a back breaker.

Sir for style you have to pay a little price.

But for 16 inch which I had on my earlier car Viva I did not had any problem of any tyre faliure or tyre bulges and the ride was very nice.

Oh well Khaadu, ill be fitting 16s on a Swift by the end of the week, if you wish to wait until then you can come over for a test drive to see how it feels. I think 16s would be perfect on the Swift. Ive only put 15s and 17s on the swift so far so even im looking forward to it.

None on the following

1. Falken Ziex 205/45 R17 on my Baleno Altura
2. Yokohama AVS-ES100 205/45 R16 on Mukul's Getz.
3. Michelin Pilot Precedas 195/50 R15 on Gunbir's Getz.

There are countless other cars which are running successfully on 45 profile with 205/215 section.

to be honest,i like the second ones better.the rims that are available in 15".khaadu,i would suggest that you should look at 195/60R15 rather than 16".the 16" would definitely look bling and will definitely go with your "rice-boy" image.so choose.
as an afterthought, like arush mentioned, how come people dont upsize to 16" on the swift .why only 15" or 17".

Now aint it cool to get the rice boy image back on the road ..... well , as Arush said , hes getting a swift with 16 inchers -- so will TD it and see how it feels !! If nothing then the 15 inchers are definitely on ....

Cheers

PS -- I swear I didnt realise choosing tyres was such a complicated and head spoinning task ....

The reason people go for 15 or 17 in place of 16 because people don't get much of tyre options in 16.
