sure would appriciate it binz. it would help me decide better with everyone treating it as their car and what would look best for it. even non merc rims will do. only criteria is 16" as i cannot exceed to lower profile tyres

@ Kpzen i like the idea and the rim design. these look like 17" or 18". would you get this design in 16". i had similar rims in mind for my car.

175-80R14 or equivalent (atleast on the 200... 230C might be a touch wider)

i would say stick to the mercedes company wheels only not any other brand, they will make your car look better than other brands because as i can see you have the model that old enough and the new trendy designs imo would not suit the car all that well!

thank you rehaan for your effort much appriciate it. the tyre size is the same on the 230 as well.

rider60 i have to remove the rims that are currently on the car as i cannot find the center hubs anywhere. the w126 rims that i am getting are secondhand from chor bazaar. i have not found anything interesting that has cought my fancy except for the star shape design that came in the 01 E classes as an option

The rim design on the 280CE is the one that is period correct & IMO looks pretty decent. Putting on a newer design will make the car look a little weird & out of place since most designs won't go with the simple, clean lines of the car.

I would suggest using this design or getting a BBS wheel, IMO they would also look pretty nice but are prohibitively expensive.

Speedy,

Are you getting the car repainted? (i feel like it will have to be repainted and looking new and shiny if you wanna get away with using a new design style)

I think so. I think that's the AMG logo on one of the spokes. I remember seeing 4 of these rims in gujri for 11k, not a scratch on them. Didn't have the money.
