Re: Swift Dzire : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Hi All,

Looking for changes the tyres for my Dzire (45K odo in 8 years) from Stock MRF
(185/65 R15). Any feedbacks / suggestions on MRF models (looking for Perfinza after reading many positive reviews but it is not listed in MRF website now when searching for Dzire. However when I search for Vento Perfinza 195/60 R15 is listed so not sure why for Dzire it is not shown).

195/60 R15 is within allowed tolerance?

Thanks in advance!!

When I had my Swift ZDi with me, during the first change I went for 195/60 R15 over the stock 185/65 R15. Didn't face any issues till I had the car after tyre change (~60,000 kms).

Re: Swift Dzire : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Reviving this thread 6.5 years after my last post.

It's time to change out the tires on my 2013 Dzire again! I was dreading this but my tires are dry rotting and they need to be swapped. The Dzire is my beater car and for the most part it's run 200-300kms a month max. So I was hesitant on blindly spending money on Michelins again. I don't like to skimp on tires, and always go for the best. So after a lot of internal debate I finally decided to go for the Michelins again, even though I knew it was unnecessary. In fact I even delayed the swap for a bit to budget for the extra cost.

Reality however isn't always how you want it to be. To my great sadness it looks like Michelin no longer makes tires for 15 inch wheels. I called 3 tire shops and they all said that it's no longer on the market.

So now my options are the Continental UC6's or the Good Year (I actually don't recall the exact model). Leaning towards the Conti's. They are a bit more expensive, but I don't mind spending more for a higher quality product. However as I stated before this is my beater car. So I'm wondering what way to lean.

Would love to hear your inputs on this! (Also any reviews/recommendations as well)
