But no one has touched the wheels of this car out side madhus for past 15k or so kms, for which i can never produce a proof any type.
You dont need any proof. You being here on this forum is enough proof of that

I do wish you knew who had done the job so that I could talk to that mechanic. Shoddy work is simply not acceptable.

Please do check your PM.

Frustrati
I had read at plenty of web advices & car manuals that any type of grease or lubricant should never be put for the wheel nuts at any cost as they tend to get loosend if done so.

Info needed

Hello people,

I am not sure if this sounds kinda silly, but, is a WB&A possible on a motorcycle? If so, would you know any good place in Bangalore (Bellandur / Sarjapur Rd / Marathahalli areas)?

I'll give you a brief history on this, so, it'll be clear as to why I'm asking for this......

I own a 2005 Bajaj Avenger. A couple of months back, I'd got some modifications done on my bike, and this included getting the tyres changed (110 in the front and a 170 in the rear). You may want to check out my post on this @ http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motorb...ml#post1438504.

Now, everything has been going smooth on the bike (post the modifications), except for the wheel allignment. The rear wheel is not completely straight, because of which, my handlebar is very slightly turned to the right in order to keep the bike straight. This isn't much of an issue in city traffic, but, I know it will be on the highway.

Hence, I want to get it checked, and rectified asap. Do you think, replacing the spoked rims with mags could solve the issue in any way?

Thanks.

wheel balancing is possible. It's called Wheel truing in most places.

Alignment is not possible. The only alignment possible is to make sure the front and rear wheels are facing dead straight. It is not done on any machine or anything. A trained and experienced mechanic can set is right.

Your problem sounds more like a bent handlebar rather than a tyre problem.

Well, I did think of that initially. I had taken it to a couple of mechanics, but they couldn't get that fixed.

Lemme try wheel tuning this time. Any idea there's some place in Bangalore that does a wheel tuning?

MADHUS IS THE BEST, they are sure of their job, they do not take the car for trial like otherplaces to check what they have done. They are very good.

Vijay Wheel Alignment @ VV Puram Experience

My car's rim had gone for a toss after a long drive to my hometown.
So a week back i had gone to Vijay Wheel Alignment @ VV Puram.

First a person came noted down my car number and asked me to wait

A few minutes later a guy came (he told 'Giri', big fat guy) and took the car for the TD. Then he suggested me to all 4 Wheel Balancing, Wheel Alignment and 4 Rim Bends. Then he said he will just tell 2 Wheel Balancing and 2 Rim Bends to their boss and bill the same but pay some amount to them. I said ok fine no problems go ahead.

They started working and finished balancing, alignment and removed all four rim bends. Then the mechanic asked me to drive the vehicle for one week and if i found any problems you can come back again. Left the place.

Soon i found the car was pulling to left and had sheer vibrations once i reach 60kmph. Again yesterday went to Vijay and told them the problems i am facing. Then owner took my car number, verified the old bill (Free Service upto 3 weeks) and sent the same old fat guy to inspect the vehicle. Then they again removed all the wheels did balaning and did wheel alignment again.

Then at last i was asked to pay for 2 Balancing :-(. I was like stupid to pay and come out of there

People (i say mechanics) at Vijay Wheel Alignment, VV Puram are just money stealers..

WB, WA and Wheel Rotation @Madhu's

It was time to get the wheel rotation, wheel balancing and wheel alignment as the speedo had clocked 7K.
Visited Madhu's today morning and all was done in less than 20 mins.
Thanks to Nikhil +1.

Yesterday I've got WA done at Madhus. It was a nice experience. It hardly took 20 mins. Thanks Nikhil, and +1 to you

One more + to Nikhil. Totally recommended. It was a rather smooth experience getting my tyres changed, balanced and aligned at the Langford road outlet. An affable and professional person I must say.

Cheers!
