Which car do you have?
Cars manufactured before 1940 are considered Vintage. Between 1941 to 1960 are termed Classics.

The newly formed Gujarat Vintage & Classic Car Club held its first meeting event at Ahmedabad today morning. This was an informal event inviting all vintage, classic car owners to get together for a short pleasure drive.

The overwhelming response and excitement can be seen from the snaps that I could manage amid people that included car enthusiasts, morning walkers, curious onlookers, children and infants. My suggestion "We need to have a bigger ground next time"

Kudos!! to TBHP guys for taking this initiative

Had one of the most memorable sundays till date. nothing compares to the beauty of some prime examples of a bygone era gracing our roads once again. had never expected such a large turn out and never knew ahmedabad had specimens on display. a hearty congratulations to all the organisers and all the participants as well. here are some of the photos i took during the drive. am not blanking any of the license plates as this was a public event covered extensively by the media.

What type of gear box does the the Siddley have? Is it a Pre-selector gear box?

I believe participation was varied and wide, including the Udaipur ROlls, Mysore daimler, Hyd rolls and many others. A picture and write up can be seen in todays Bombay samachar.A great beginning. Kudos to all .
Route made public well in advance and no judging. Thats the way forward.

Wow, these cars are certainly very nice and desirable. And they also look like they are unrestored examples. Any frontal pics of the Impala? What is the blue car with '8' script on the radiator grill?

Are you referring to the Buick 8? Its a 1937 model restored by friend Harsheed Tarapore who's dad was closely involved in setting up of this vintage club with Mr. Nath

You maybe referring to some other event. While a great set of cars, none of the cars you mention were to be seen at the event.
