He he ! It's just that it's a unique design, and can be kept in my "Fiat parts one may need in the future" collection !
You never know when another Fiat may come along .

This one looks way cool in our cars, remember we saw a similar one but for Standard 10.

Sorry guys, there is some news on this car- take it as good or bad! I got a call from jai this morning, turns out that the taxi had come only for an engine swap (most likely dieselising) and that it had been delivered back yesterday evening.

If so, I reckon the door handles were being changed too.

Anyways, that means we cant have any parts off it (yet!)

I broke one of my interior door handles on my 62 WBF-1, and was able to find two old aluminum ones in need of polishing, both for the wrong side and will keep them. the padmini handle broke as it was being installed, so one of the two alum. ones is fitted backwards but working.

A local mechanic took me over to a couple of parts dealers and told me of two other big shops. Plan to try and visit this week as we are returning to Toronto next Wed.

Should I be looking for anything special?

I beg to differ here ariesonu, the Range Rover isn't lying there, but has just been parked instead.

It sure was in a pathetic state roughly a year back, but have seen it being worked upon @ the petrol pump bang opposite Marine Lines railway station.

I retract my words Marcus, She is so beautiful & seeing her parked there and being neglected pains me to no end. My heart goes out to her. Two weeks back I saw some mechanics removing some machinery parts from its engine bay. I could not see what because I was just drving past.
In fact she is two door but even after spending good time on net I could not find out anything about its model etc.

Great finds //M.
Sad to see the '60 Chevrolet Impala in such a state. Could you find out if it is for sale by any chance?
PM me the details if you come across something. Thanks!!

P.S. Even if it is for sale, I'm sure the price is going to be atrocious

No idea about the red car in the first pic. I tried to check, but the car didn't had any badging and moreover I have extremely basic knowledge about vintages so can't guess the model.
@Marcus- It was a holiday trip to Pondicherry and now I'm back so can't get any details about the car. Maybe any Pondicherry BHPians may help with this, if there are any.

I think the red car is a Rover, remember seeing this car a year back on the East coast road in Pondicherry. If I remember right it had a amby engine and the asking price was Rs 6L

The Impala is with a well known vintage car restorer/ dealer on the other side of Pondicherry towards Cuddalore. Infact this is a parts car which he had bought to replace the diesel engine of a another Impala
