Indeed they did. The story is here

Long time no see - Race against time - Business Standard Motoring

The green Adler and Morris Traveller visible in some pics were in Pune for ages.

Could you believe it. The 1959 RE beat the DB Gold Star. The RE had a novice young rider, Goldie with one of our most seasoned rider. The Goldie was not running at full potential though. Great fun though.

Karl - he owns 2 cars. I think the one from Kuwait is maroon and black. Will post pictures of the other car.

Delhi too had a few 2CVs, Amis and Dyanes. (To stay within the class I'm not getting into the TAs, DSs, GSs and CX Pallases!). I wonder if any of these 2CVs, etc. survive now? I too had one in Delhi - a 2CV6 way back in 1993/94, MMU 1358 if I remember right. Wonder if she survives, and where? Escorts also had brought in a few when they were contemplating manufacturing them, and displayed them at the first Auto Expo.

Such beautiful cars and their pictures. Thanks, Dominator. The Fiat 1100R is so pretty, and MustangMan's golden Mustang is here too (he'd provided a couple of scoops to us on it sometime back, when everyone else had missed them). Would Bangalore today have the best (in terms of sheer variety and not necessarily top-draw only) collection?
