That is a 1980 Fiat 1800 Spyder - a regular at these events. The owner also entered the Pagoda Merc standing next to it, alongwith an early 20s Rover with single central headlight, very interesting looking. I didn't take pics this time, but pics are available on elsewhere on the forum.

That Ford Pilot to is now a rare car...you hardly saw any int eh old days too considering they were British. The US Fords which were assembled in India have always been dominating the scene in comparison to teh British or even the French or German Ford products.

The house he lived in was in Narayanguda, but apart from that he had the impressive mansion bought by the Kapadias (Kapadia lane).

His Packard was bought by a dealer and then later when the seventh Nizam saw the car at the dealer he had it picked up. Later the car was sold out again and NTR bought it. He plonked a diesel into it and sadly the original engine may have been scrapped. Later they installed a six cylinder Dodge engine which it still has. The car belongs to NTR's estate and is at his home at Kothi.

The original colour of the car was ivory with a chromed grill shell, now its a green

NTR used it once for an official parade, I have a picture of it somewhere, will dig it out.

Very impressive machine !

Missing Jags

Please excuse if I come as an imbecile, but in my stay with T-BHP I came across a lot of beautiful Jags restored/being restored. Even the fan-fare seemed pretty avid but the Jag Turnout didn't quite justify the cause.

Is there a particular reason behind it cause am sure they do qualify as vintage and some of them have been very tastefully restored.

3 Jags were present - a maroon Mk VII, an orange and silver sedan and a white E Type. All are featured in the photos posted.

Four of our cars participated in the rally this time. I think the event was very well organized and i personally loved the route. The police bandobast was excellent.
