According to SA the official waiting period is 6 months and as the production is increased, there are chances that it may come down to 4-5 months. Hope for the best

Hello again. I've booked a City and though I've got more hp and a bigger size i have definitely got less freebies than you have. Well my mom's pushing for a Dussera delivery so i guess we'll meet with the Honda's a little later

Getting a new drive for myself. It has to be a diesel. For sure.

Existing drive is a Fiat 1.6 Sport, so i know the value of Petrol more than anyone else. Every hike in petrol price hurts me the most in hyderabad.

Should it be a MJD or TDI or DCI or D4D. No American, so Ford and GM are out. No maruti.... because there are too many on the road.

My requirements are simple. It should have 500 L of boot space and should be a 5 seater. Decent brakes. No ABS is required as i do not exceed 100 KMph on flat road and in turns, my speed would be 40-60. Good old racing days are over for me. decent FE is mandatory. I drive 70 % on highways and the rest in city.

Thinking of getting a diesel from a long time. The shortlisted ones were
VW Vento - TDI
Toyota Etios - D4D
Duster - DCI
VW out because of huge servicing costs. dont know how reliable it would be when compared to D4D and DCI. guys pour in your thoughts, i may change the booking depending on your inputs.

Test drove Etios. Loved the steering. But loved the looks and presence of Duster.

Now running from office, to Renault showroom, to book a Duster RXE. The color would be Grey Mettalic. (I am tired of cleaning a Red colored dirt magnet car)
If the delivery is going to take more than 4 months, then the cheque would go to Toyota (Will demand for the Evo type 15" Alloys) Etios GD SP * This would be with ABS and airbags. yes, the color of Etios would be same too.

Having resisted the company-lease scheme this long, I finally succumbed to my mind and booked a Figo Titanium tdci last week (Diamond white). I'm taking the old model as I'm getting attractive discounts, and we feel it looks better.

It took a week to get all approvals, and finally the car will be delivered tomorrow.

Details are as below:-

EW :3550 (ouch, i gotta pay for this)

Note: The car will be used by my kids and I'd still use my Fiesta, and my wife the WagonR. We might decide to sell the WagonR after few months, after evaluating its use and need.

I'm going to change the tyres soon after delivery to Michelin XM2s. I'm glad that the dealer has okayed my idea to upgrade to 185/65/14 tyres in place of the 175/65/14 stock size. And it costs only Rs 50 more per tyre.

Freebies being offered are flaps and mats (Rs 2500), teflon coating, leather vinyl seat covers, body cover, pillow set and sun film. I told them I would like to swap the sun film and body cover for some other accessories, and they are ok.

The offer given for your tyre change is so attractive. I never heard getting better tyres for just 50. If you don't mind, could you please provide the details such as stock tyre price and new Michelin price???
