BTW, how much is the road tax in Siliguri?

Rajan
28000 Regn charges + tax.

Will try with the dealer, though it seems unlikely.

re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

I got the following quote for the Emotion Model of a Fiat Punto from Concorde Motors in Bangalore

Ex-Showroom: 698150
Road Tax: 108492
Insurance: 25673
Logistics Charges: 3500
Registration charges: 2000
RSA: 3500
EX warranty:5093

and the offer was that if i pay 3,999. they waive off the RSA and Insurance.

With this the offer would be :820236 - Corporate Discount.

I work for a startup, and not sure how much discount i will get. Is this a standard offer? How can i get a better deal?

Please suggest.

When I enquired at Prerana motors for a Punto 90HP Sports, they were giving insurance free too, apart from these freebies. I believe even Concorde must be giving that. You could visit Prerana and confirm whether they are still giving that offer. It will knock off 26k from your final price. A small correction - if we pay 3.9k you will get RSA and extended warranty free (worth 9k). Insurance is anyway free now.

Here are the details of a quote I got from Prerana 2 weeks ago for Punto 90HP Sports :

OTR price in Bangalore for Punto Sports : 9L
Insurance free : -27,000
RSA + Extended warranty free : -9000
Corporate discount : -12,000
Loyalty bonus in lieu of exchange bonus (since I don't have any exchange car), for buying a Fiat again !! : -20,000
Final deal : 8.34L + 3k for free RSA/EW = 8.38L

Corporate bonus is usually offered in 3 slabs - 4k, 8k and 12k, depending on how many employees from your organization buy Fiat cars. Obviously for large sized companies like TCS / Infy, etc, the customers will get 12k. If your org is not in their list, you will be eligible for a minimum offer of 4k in any case. You should bargain and try to get the offer up to 8k at least . Argue all day long, if need be.

How you can get a better deal - visit the other dealer in town, get a quote from there. Then argue with concorde that he better match the other quote or you will shift base. I know, it sounds a little childish to do this, but in the end you can save more money which can be used for additional accessories, etc.

P.S - ask them to waive off logistics charges. They have no right to charge us this. What are registration charges? Another scam here

re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

Booked a Ford Figo Titanium 1.4 Duratorq ex-Mumbai with Free Insurance + Free 3rd year warranty + Freebies(mudflaps, floormats, car cover). The on-road came to Rs. 7.05 Lakhs (ex-showroom + road tax + depot chgs + 3M underbody coating)
The dealer was also able to provide the same T&C as HDFC Bank was offering me as a corporate account offer (11% arrears+ no proc fees + 1.5% FC chgs after 24 months)

Naveen,
Are you seriously going to pay the Logistic charges, I feel the dealer is looting you. I suggest put down your foot and get the charges waived off. Also can you confirm what are the registration charges quoted?

Suggest you to not pay the depot charges, this is daylight robbery. This has been discussed in many thread on the forum that the Depot/Logistic charges are illegal claims by the dealer.

Thought you are moving out of the country when you planned to sell the Punto. XUV 5OO is replacing the Punto? Or some other car in the garage?

Anyways - Nice choice. Feature loaded W8, that too in white!

Yes, this car is for the whole family. Punto was my personal car, so this ideally is not a replacement to the Punto. Innova will now serve as a second car.

.
Is this the 110bhp version?
If so this has to be the least BHP per lac, purely from a specifications point of view, competing with those of Altis D.
But then preferences and priorities vary.
Congratulations !!

I think Laura MT is something more than specifications on paper compared to Altis D. It's fine with me
