Images of what appears to be the 11th-generation Honda Civic have surfaced online. The images show two different variants of the Chinese-spec model.

The new Civic borrows styling cues from the larger Accord. Also missing is the chrome on the front fascia and other areas. The sedan gets wide LED headlamps and a sleeker radiator grille with a body coloured insert above it. The H-logo sits between the two. Along the sides, there is an upward sloping crease line on the doors and a kink in the window line around the C-pillar. At the rear, the Civic gets wraparound tail-lights an inverted L-shaped red portion on the top that could house the brake / pilot lights. Lower down on the bumper is a slim black insert and a small lip.

While the images of the sedan version have been leaked, the car is also likely to be offered in the hatchback and Type-R variants.

While no details on the engines and transmissions are available yet, the Civic is expected to be offered with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. A hybrid model could also be on the cards.

The 11th-gen Civic will be unveiled later this year as the 2022 model year car for North American markets.
