2016 Skoda Rapid facelift launch confirmed for November 3

Skoda India has officially confirmed that the launch of 2016 Rapid facelift will take place on 3rd November, 2016. This facelift will mark the first update to the Rapid, ever since its original launch in 2011.

Recently, an undisguised spy shot of the new Rapid was leaked on the Internet, revealing its front fascia. The new Rapid will get sleeker headlamp clusters, the company's new grille, revamped taillights and tweaked front and rear bumpers. The side profile of the car will likely be the same as that of the model it replaces.

On the inside, Skoda is expected to add a new infotainment system and a few extra features to the new model.

Powering the Rapid will be Volkswagen Group's reengineered 1.5-litre TDI diesel engine, which made its debut under the Ameo. Meanwhile, the 1.6-litre MPI petrol engine will be carried forward without any change.
