2017 Hero Maestro Edge - Brochure leaked

Hero MotoCorp will soon update the Maestro Edge gearless scooter with a few cosmetic updates, some feature additions and a BSIV compliant engine. Ahead of its official launch, brochure of the 2017 Maestro Edge has been leaked on the Internet, revealing specific details about the upcoming update.

The Maestro Edge will continue to be powered by a 110.9 cc, single cylinder air-cooled engine. However, the engine has been retuned to make it compliant with the upcoming BSIV emission norms. This has resulted in a slight decrement in the power output, which is now down from 8.31 BHP to 8 BHP. Meanwhile, the torque output shows an increase of 0.2 Nm and is now rated at 8.7 Nm.

Additionally, Hero has added two dual tone colours to the available options with the Maestro Edge. As a result, the 2017 model will be available in 7 single tone colours - Shooting Night Star, Techno Blue, Matte Vernier Grey, Matte Blue, Panther Black, Pearl Silver White, Candy Blazing Red and 2 dual tone shades - Sporty Matte Grey & Red and Active Matte Grey & Blue.

Hero has also added Automatic Headlamp On (AHO) feature and some new graphics to the 2017 Maestro Edge. Other features like LED tail-lamp, USB charging port in the boot, integrated braking and digital-analog instrument cluster have been borrowed from the current model.

Hero is expected to launch the 2017 Maestro Edge in the near future. It will continue to compete against the segment leader - the Honda Activa.
