3rd-gen Suzuki Hayabusa teased ahead of India launch

The third generation Hayabusa is expected to be launched in India later this year.

Suzuki Motorcycle India has released a teaser video of the third generation Hayabusa on Twitter. The superbike is expected to be launched later this year.

The new Hayabusa made its global debut last month. The bike receives an updated fairing and is 2 kg lighter than its predecessor.

The Hayabusa is powered by a 1,340cc, 4-cylinder engine that produces 187 BHP @ 9,700 rpm and 150 Nm @ 7,000 rpm. The engine gets lighter pistons, new connecting rods and fuel injectors among a host of other upgrades.

The superbike comes with a new slip and assist clutch, Brembo Stylema brakes, 6-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) and Suzuki Drive Mode Selector Alpha (SDMS-a) which includes Power Mode Selector, Engine Brake Control System, Anti-Lift Control System, Motion Track Traction Control System and Bi-Directional Quick Shift System. It also gets a revised instrument cluster with an LCD screen in the centre, launch control, Active Speed Limiter and cruise control.
