4th-gen Nissan X-Trail spotted in India

If launched in India, the new X-Trail will be positioned above Kicks, making it the third SUV in Nissan's line-up.

The fourth generation Nissan X-Trail was unveiled at Auto Shanghai in 2021. The SUV, which is called the 'Rogue' in North America, has now been spotted testing in India.

The 2023 Nissan X-Trail is longer and wider than its predecessor, while the wheelbase remains unchanged. The heavily camouflaged test mule showcases the car's V-shaped front grille with stacked headlamps on either side. The SUV has flared rear wheel arches that blend into the slim wraparound tail lamp clusters.

In the international market, the X-Trail is offered with petrol and hybrid powertrains. These include a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol with the second-generation e-Power series hybrid powertrain.

While the non-hybrid version is front-wheel drive, the latter gets all-wheel drive. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is offered as standard on the X-Trail.
