7-seater Jeep Compass teased; could be named Commander

Jeep Brazil has released the first official teaser of the brand’s upcoming 7-seater Compass-based SUV.

Jeep Brazil has released the first official teaser of the brand’s upcoming 7-seater Compass-based SUV.

While the teaser doesn’t reveal the name of the upcoming 7-seater, it does give us a glimpse of the moniker, which ends with ‘ER’. This has fuelled speculations that it could be called the Commander.

Apart from the moniker, the teaser also offers a glimpse of the SUV’s newly-designed seven-slat front grille and a brand new set of headlamps, among a host of other design elements.

The interior of the SUV is also expected to come packed with features and equipment. It will carry forward most of the features from the 2021 Compass, along with a few additional ones as well. However, the biggest change in the cabin will be the inclusion of an additional row of seats. The car will be positioned above the Compass SUV in the brand’s global product portfolio.

Jeep is yet to reveal the exact powertrain options for the upcoming 7-seater SUV. However, it is expected to carry forward the same engine and transmission options as the Compass SUV.
