Apologies for the long silence, the King is 8 years old today.
In the past few years I have done a few upgrades.
The first in line was the RHS Suzuki Samurai Mirror bought from Low Range Off Road, couldn't find an exact replacement here in India. Also at that point of time even on the LROR Website the RHS Mirror wasn't available. Changed the Mirror to the ones from a Mahindra Pick Up. They are not the ones you usually see on most Gypsy's, they are quite big in size & offer great visibility.
The original soft top that came with the vehicle finally gave away after 7 years of service. After much deliberation on the colour of the Soft Top I upgraded to a Black Armoro Soft Top.
When I had ordered the Suzuki Samurai Air Scoop from LROR had also bought the Suzuki Samurai Heater Control Overlay & the Non Tach Suzuki Samurai White Face Gauges. Bought a New Speedometer from Boodmo along with additional Speedometer Cables, Accelerator Cables, Clutch Cables, Harness Assembly, Emblems & a New Grill.
Over the last weekend I installed the overlays on the New Speedometer & fitted it in the King along with the Heater Control Overlay. The Speedometer of the Suzuki Samurai came with a Trip Meter which was missing in the Gypsy, so covered up the slots with a LROR Sticker which came with the Package. Also the needles in the Gypsy's Speedometer are White, the visibility against the White Overlays would have been terribly low. Painted the Needles Red with Wifey's Red Nail Polish to overcome the visibility issue.
With the White background I feel the Speedometer is now better illuminated & the visibility of Heater Controls in darkness has improved too.
