Aston Martin DBX unveiled

Aston Martin has unveiled the DBX SUV.

The aluminium-bodied car comes with a typical Aston Martin grille flanked by LED headlights with LED DRLs, flush fitting door handles, a sloped rear windscreen with a spoiler on the top as well as a lip spoiler. It gets slim LED tail lights similar to that seen on the Vantage with a light bar connecting them and twin exhausts. It rides on 22-inch wheels with Pirelli P Zero tyres. The DBX measures 5,039 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, 1,680 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 3,060 mm. It has a wading depth of 500 mm.

The SUV has a full leather interior equipped with a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a 10.25-inch touchscreen head unit with Apple CarPlay, panoramic roof, heated front and rear seats, 3-zone climate control, 64 colour ambient lighting, 360 degree camera and an 800-watt, 14 speaker sound system.

The DBX is powered by a 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine producing 542 BHP @ 6,500 rpm and 700 Nm @ 2,200-5,000 rpm. It is paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The 0-100 km/h time is said to be 4.5 seconds and the top speed is claimed to be 291 km/h. It has 4 on-road and 2 off-road drive modes.

The SUV will be built in St Athan, Wales. It is priced at GBP 1,58,000 and deliveries are expected to begin in Q2 2020.
