Atmanirbhar fuel pump : self-fueling bunk started in Pune

A Bharat Petroleum fuel bunk outside the Regional Transport Office in Pune has commenced self-fueling operations. Vehicle owners fill fuel in their vehicles themselves at this fuel bunk.

The initiative has started as a way to maintain social distancing due to the Coronovirus pandemic. Upon entry, the vehicle owners are given sanitizers and instructed how to operate the dispenser by the staff. Step-by-step instructions are also printed on a placard on the premises. Customers can choose the quantity of fuel they want to purchase by amount, volume or do a tank full.

The payment is accepted through cash, card or digital methods. The minimum amount for digital methods is Rs. 30 for two-wheelers and Rs. 400 for four-wheelers.
