Audi e-tron GT launched at Rs. 1.80 crore

The e-tron GT is available in two variants - Quattro and RS. It will be imported as a CBU.

Having launched the e-tron and e-tron Sportback SUVs, Audi has now introduced the e-tron GT electric sedan in the Indian market. The car is available in two variants - Quattro and RS, priced at Rs. 1.80 crore and Rs. 2.05 crore (ex-showroom), respectively. It will be imported as a CBU.

The e-tron GT uses two electric motors; one on each axle, with a combined output of 469 BHP and 630 Nm. It comes with an 'over-boost' function which bumps the output to 523 BHP. The RS version packs 590 BHP and 830 Nm. The rear motor is mated to a 2-speed transmission.

In terms of performance, the e-tron GT takes 4.1 seconds to complete the sprint from 0-100 km/h. It has a top speed of 245 km/h. The RS version hits 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.

The e-tron GT uses an 85 kWh battery that is said to provide a maximum range of 488 km on a single charge. The RS variant has a slightly lower range of 472 km on a single charge.

The battery can be recharged from 5-80% in 9.5 hours using an 11 kW AC charger or in 5 hours 15 minutes using a 22 kW AC charger. A 270 kW DC charger can replenish the battery in just 22.5 minutes.

The e-tron GT comes with Matrix LED headlights (standard on the RS variant), while laser lights are offered an option. The car comes with 19-inch wheels as standard which can be upgraded 21-inch alloys with aero blades.

On the inside, the car comes equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It also has an Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) that generates sounds using speakers positioned on the outside as well as inside the cabin.
