Bajaj Dominar 400 spotted at dealership; launch on Dec 15

The Bajaj Dominar 400 has started reaching company dealerships across the country, ahead of its scheduled launch on December 15, 2016. A new set of images show a white Dominar 400 at a dealer stockyard. These are the first undisguised images of the bike with the Dominar branding on the fuel tank. Previous spy shots had the bike adorning the Pulsar badge. However, Bajaj later decided to ditch the Pulsar tag and introduce a new brand name for its upcoming flagship.

The Dominar 400 is essentially a production version of the CS 400 concept that was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo. The bike will draw power from a 373 cc engine, which will be similar to the one offered with the KTM Duke 390. However, it will likely come with Bajaj's patented triple-spark technology and will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The Dominar 400 is a sports-cruiser, which will go head-on against the Mahindra Mojo 300. Bajaj will also try to attract a few customers of the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
