Bajaj launches Pulsar AS 150 and AS 200 in India

Bajaj Auto has expanded its Pulsar range with the launch of two new motorcycles - the AS 150 and AS 200.

The Pulsar AS 150 and AS 200 motorcycles sport perimeter frames with half fairings and extended visors. They have telescopic forks at the front and monoshock suspensions at the rear. They measure 2,070 mm in length, 804 mm in width, 1,205 mm in height and have a wheelbase of 1,363mm. The AS 200 weighs 153 kg and has a ground clearance of 167 mm. The AS 150 is lighter, tipping the scales at 143 kg and has a ground clearance of 170 mm. Both bikes come with 17-inch alloy wheels.

The AS 150 is priced at Rs. 79,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is powered by a 149.5 cc, 4-stroke, DTS-i, air-cooled, single cylinder engine which delivers 16.8 bhp @ 9,500 rpm and 13 Nm of torque @ 7,500 rpm. Stopping power comes from a single disc brake at the front and a drum at the rear.

The AS 200 is priced at Rs. 91,550 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It draws power from a 199.5 cc, liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine that produces that produces 23.2 bhp @ 9500 rpm, and 18.3 Nm of torque @ 8,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike has disc brakes all round. ABS has not been provided on either bike.

Both bikes come with projector headlamps and are available in three colours - red, blue and black.
