Baojun 530 (MG Hector) facelift leaked

Images of the Baojun 530 facelift have surfaced online. It shares its underpinnings with the MG Hector that has recently gone on sale in India.

According to the spy images, the updated Baojun 530 is likely to get a redesigned grille and new LED daytime running lights, with what appears to be a silver strip in the centre. The headlamp pods have been redesigned and look almost similar to the Tata Harrier. The dual-tone front bumper has a black lip and a silver skid plate.

In the side profile, the facelift version looks similar to the present model. It has blacked-out B and C-pillars and silver roof rails. The SUV has plastic cladding around the wheel arches and along the door sills. Moving to the rear, unlike the Hector, the Baojun 530 doesn't have the red strip on the boot lid. The tail light design has also been retained, but the rear bumper has been updated. It has silver inserts and houses new reflectors, rear fog lamp and reverse light. Besides this, the car has a rear spoiler and a shark fin antenna.

Reports suggest that in China, the Baojun 530 is likely to be offered with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual and continuously variable transmission (CVT).
