Surprisingly Monte Carlo edition is cheaper than the regular Style AT.
BHPian satish.gawai recently shared this with other enthusiasts.
I visited the Skoda showroom in Baner, Pune this weekend to check out both Kushaq and Slavia for my brother
- Kushaq looks stunning in Red shade and the new color ivory blue
- The interior fit and finish look good
- The doors are heavy and the "Thud" gives promising assurance of the safety
- The touchscreen feels responsive and does not find any lag
- The front seats are very accommodating and the rear seat provides enough cushioning.
- The under-thigh support at the rear feels inadequate to me.
- The good part of the rear seat is that one can slide the leg below the front seat even with the heavy shoes which release the extra leg room.
- Boot space is fair enough for weekend trips
- A spare tyre is a steel rim with lower specs
- The salesperson claims 20 KMPL mileage which I believe is on the higher side
- The test drive vehicle was not available so the salesperson will arrange the TD at home this week.
- Price quoted for Style AT top end =20.35L. Still, negotiation is possible and SA is ready to match the outside insurance quote. For Monte Carlo, it is quoted at 19.66L.
- Surprisingly, the Monte Carlo edition is cheaper than the regular Style AT.
Few photos for your reference.

Questions to the experts
- We are tilted towards the 1.0 AT since my brother's most of the driving will be in Pune city. Will 1.5 DSG make sense for a 50 Km daily city driving around?
- I did not like the red highlights on the interior of the Monte Carlo, will it edge well if we go for it since there is a good discount on MC?
- How is the real-world fuel economy for 1.0L and 1.5L in automatic
- How do you feel when it comes to the rear seat? Is it comfortable enough for the long drives?
- Our family struggles with motion sickness on the highways, especially ladies; will Kushaq's suspension be stiff or will it feel like a boat?
- The 1.0 Style comes with a Torque Converter. How is the real-world feedback for this transmission
- For 1.5 DSG, the salesperson has no idea whether it is DQ200 or DQ250. How is the real-world feedback for DSG? I like the 1.5 but don't want to suggest it to my brother because of DSG failure issues.
Thanks In Advance
