Dr. Timothy Leverton, CTO of Tata Motors, resigns

Dr. Timothy Leverton - President and Chief Technical Officer at Tata Motors has resigned. He will be relieved off his duties on October 31, 2017. The company is expected to announce his successor at a later date.

According to Guenter Butschek - CEO & MD, Tata Motors, Dr. Leverton plans to move back to the United Kingdom for personal reasons.

Dr. Leverton, who has been a part of Tata Motors since 2010, was working out of the Tata Motors Engineering Research Center in Pune. He oversaw the development of the Bolt, Zest, Hexa, Tiago and the upcoming Nexon.

Over the past 31 years, Dr. Leverton has held senior positions at Land Rover, Rolls Royce and JCB. He was the chief engineer for the 2003 Rolls Royce Phantom.
