FASTag deadline extended to December 15, 2019

The government of India has extended the deadline for the implementation of FASTags at toll plazas by 15 days. The revised deadline is December 15, 2019.

While FASTags will be mandatory, the toll plazas will also have a hybrid lane that will accept other modes of payment as well. The hybrid lanes are expected to facilitate movement of oversized vehicles.

Earlier, the government had announced December 1, 2019 has the deadline to declare all lanes at toll plazas as FASTag lanes.
