Fiat Avventura spied without camouflage

The Fiat Avventura has been spotted without any camouflage or cladding. A picture of what is believed to be the production version of the car has been obtained and published by Auto Column.

From the picture we can see that Fiat has retained most of the design cues and details from the concept, which was displayed at the Auto Expo in February 2014. The Avventura gets a set of larger alloy wheels than the Punto hatchback on which it is based. It has muscular styling, projector headlamps, restyled bumpers, roof rails, body cladding and a tail gate-mounted spare wheel. All these additions give it a more rugged look compared to the Punto.

Coming to the changes, the LED DRLs that were seen on the concept have been left out and in their place is a pair of conventional fog lamps. The twin tow-hooks at the base of the front bumper have also been dropped. A roof mounted radio antenna has been added.

There are no pictures of the interiors of the car, but we expect Fiat to leave out some of the gauges and instrumentation that was seen on the concept. The company has not disclosed any details about which engine will be used in the car either.

The Avventura is expected to be launched in India before the end of the year. It will compete against other pseudo SUVs like the Volkswagen Cross Polo and Toyota Etios Cross.
