Fly Blade helicopter aggregator set to launch in Mumbai

  •

Fly Blade - a US-based helicopter aggregator and Hunch Ventures have formed a joint venture (JV) to launch intercity helicopter service in Mumbai. Initially, the service will connect Juhu and Mahalaxmi in Mumbai to heliports in Pune and Shirdi. Intracity routes will be added later.

Fly Blade is an app-based service, much like cab aggregators Uber and Ola. The company does not have any helicopters of its own and will utilize existing network of heliports. The company plans to expand its helicopter services to connect cities with sites of pilgrimage and weekend getaways.

There are plans to introduce modern technologies like electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) as well.
