Force Gurkha Pickup spied for the first time in India

The Gurkha Pickup is likely to get the same 2.6-litre Mercedes-sourced diesel engine.

Force Motors seem to be working on a pickup variant of the Gurkha. It looks production ready in these images, which isn't a surprise as it has already been showcased in Indonesia last year.

This pickup is more of a modified version of the Force Gurkha. It seems the carmaker has just chopped off a portion of the rear end to create the loading bay. They've even left the side-hinged rear door as is. Also note that the loading bay and the cab are for a single unit, which is not the case in most pickups that are designed from the ground up.

The test mule is equipped with 5-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels and side steps. The tail lamps are identical to the ones on the Gurkha. We can expect it to have a familiar-looking front fascia as well.

Under the bonnet, the Gurkha Pickup is likely to get the same 2.6-litre Mercedes-sourced diesel engine. It develops 90 BHP and 250 Nm and is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The four-wheel drive system consists of a low-range gearbox and differential locks on all four wheels.
