Ford India crosses the 1 million mark

Ford India has reached a new sales milestone as the 1 millionth car was delivered to a customer in Delhi. Nikhil Kakkar became the millionth Indian customer, who took delivery of a Ford Freestyle at Dwarka Ford.

Ford has been building cars in India since 1998 and has invested over US$ 2 billion in the country. Its current line-up includes the Figo, Aspire, Freestyle, EcoSport, Endeavour and the Mustang. The company is gearing up to launch facelift versions of the Figo and Aspire in India later this year.

Ford currently has 465 sales and service outlets spread across 267 cities in India. The company has also made spare parts available at 3,500 touchpoints, which include 2,000 independent repair shops.
