Harley-Davidson LiveWire's new e-bike to launch in June 2022

It will be positioned below the brand's LiveWire model, making it a more affordable offering.

Harley-Davidson's LiveWire sub-brand will launch a new electric motorcycle in Q2 of 2022. The new e-bike has been codenamed 'S2', with the final version expected to be called Del Mar.

The LiveWire Del Mar will debut the brand's new ARROW platform, set to underpin a number of its future products as well. It will be positioned below the brand's LiveWire model, making it a more affordable offering.

The new Del Mar motorcycle will come with a structural battery pack and consist of 21,700 cylindrical Li-ion battery cells. It will be paired with a direct-drive motor, with the outputs yet to be confirmed by Harley-Davidson.

The new platform also comes with a DC-DC charger, inverter, shared cooling circuits, wiring harness and many other components, which should allow it to be used on multiple future products, thus bringing down the production costs.

Harley-Davidson also confirmed two other products, codenamed S3 and S4 for the future, both of which will use the same ARROW platform.
