The Honda Activa 5G was unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo. The scooter has now been listed on Honda's official website. It will be available in two variants - STD and DLX priced at Rs. 52,460 and Rs. 54,325 (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively.

The Activa 5G has an under bone type frame with spring loaded hydraulic suspension at both ends. It measures 1,761 mm in overall length, 710 mm in width and 1,158 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1,238 mm and a seat height of 765 mm. The scooter weighs 109 kg and comes with a 5.3-litre fuel tank and 18 litres of underseat storage.

Like its predecessor, the Activa 5G has a full metal body and gets chrome garnish on the front cowl. It comes with an LED headlamp and position lamp, new instrument cluster with a digital readout and service indicator, ignition with integrated seat lock and hooks for carrying handbags.

The Activa 5G is powered by a 109.19 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and a torque of 9 Nm @ 5,500 rpm. It has a variomatic transmission and a claimed top speed of 83 km/h. Stopping power comes from 130 mm drum brakes at both ends while a combined braking system (CBS) has been provided as well. The scooter rides on 10-inch wheels shod with 90/100 section tubeless tyres.

Honda is offering the Activa 5G in 8 colour options - Dazzle Yellow Metallic, Majestic Brown Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Matte Selene Silver Metallic, Pearl Amazing White, Pearl Spartan Red, Trance Blue Metallic and Black.
