Honda is reportedly planning to enter the premium scooter space in India with the ADV160 maxi-scooter. Codenamed K4LA, the new model is expected to be launched by 2026.
The Honda ADV160 has a sporty design with dual LED headlamps, a large adjustable windscreen, and a stepped seat with wide handlebars for a relaxed riding posture. It has features such as a digital instrument console, keyless ignition, idle start/stop and a USB charger.
The ADV160 is based on an underbone frame suspended by a 31 mm telescopic fork in the front and dual shock absorbers in the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 240 mm front disc and 130 mm rear drum brake. The scooter rides on 14-inch and 13-inch alloy wheels in the front and rear, respectively.
Powering the ADV160 is a 157cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 15.7 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 14.7 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. In India, it will compete with the likes of the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Hero Xoom 160.
