Honda Amaze Privilege Edition launched at Rs. 6.49 lakh

Honda has launched a Privilege Edition of the Amaze at a price of Rs. 6.49 lakh for the petrol model and Rs. 7.74 lakh for the diesel model (ex-showroom Delhi). This edition is priced Rs. 10,000 more than the S (O) MT variant, on which it is based.

It features some changes to the exteriors as well as interiors, while remaining mechanically unchanged. On the outside, the car gets body graphics, rear parking sensors and a Privilege Edition logo below the engine badge on the boot.

Changes to the interior include a front center armrest, a 7-inch touch screen infotainment system and beige coloured seat covers. The infotainment system has features like offline navigation, Mirror Link support for smartphones, internet access via an optional WiFi receiver, voice commands for media, navigation and calling, Bluetooth telephony and media streaming, AM/FM radio and iPod/iPhone compatibility. The system also gets 2 USB ports, 2 SD card slots (for map and media) and an HDMI-IN port.

There are no changes made to the powertrain. Hence, it is powered by the same 1.2 L petrol engine which makes 87 BHP and 109 Nm of torque and a 1.5 L diesel motor which puts out 99 BHP and 200 Nm of torque. The Privilege Edition is only available with the 5-speed manual transmission and not the CVT gearbox which is available on the S (O) variant of the petrol model.
