HSRP and colour-coded stickers now mandatory in Delhi NCR

HSRP and fuel stickers mandatory in Delhi NCR.

The Delhi Transport Department has issued a public notice for all vehicles plying in Delhi NCR to get High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) and colour-coded fuel stickers.

According to the notice, it is now mandatory for all cars, including those registered in other states to be equipped with HSRP and colour-coded fuel stickers if plying in Delhi NCR. These include cars registered prior to April 2019, when HSRP was not mandatory.

A CNG or petrol vehicle will get a light blue sticker, while an orange sticker will be applied on diesel vehicles.

Vehicle owners who fail to get this done could be fined Rs. 10,000 for the first offence with a Rs. 5,000 compounding charge for subsequent fines. The Transport Department is expected to start an enforcement drive soon.

A list of all the authorized dealers for HSRP and colour-coded stickers is available on the Delhi Transport department website.
