Hyundai Exter to go on sale in India in July 2023

The Exter will compete with the likes of the Tata Punch and Citroen C3 in the Indian market.

Hyundai is gearing up to launch the Exter in India. The carmaker has already started accepting bookings, however, the latest reports suggest that the sub-4 meter crossover won't go on sale until July 2023. It is said that the car will go into production in July, while deliveries would commence in August.

The Hyundai Exter is likely to be offered in up to 13 variants. These include EX, EX(O), S, S(O), SX and SX(O) trims. The carmaker has also confirmed that all variants will come equipped with 6 airbags and 3-point seat belts for all seats.

The Hyundai Exter is likely to share its underpinnings with the Grand i10 NIOS and Aura. The crossover will be available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine mated to either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT and a CNG version equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Exter will compete with the likes of the Tata Punch and Citroen C3 in the Indian market.
