Tata Punch facelift caught testing for the first time

The ICE version is expected to receive cosmetic updates similar to the Punch EV.

The first prototype of what is believed to be the Tata Punch facelift has been spotted on test. The sub-compact SUV is expected to receive cosmetic updates similar to the Punch EV.

The test mule seen in these images does appear to have redesigned front fascia with a split headlamp design. It is likely to get sleek LED DRLs with the main headlamps positioned on the front bumper. The rear design looks unchanged, at least on this prototype.

Inside, the Punch facelift is expected to get a reworked dashboard with a cleaner design and a touchscreen infotainment system in the centre. The car will also get Tata’s new touch-based climate control system and the 3-spoke steering wheel.

The updated Punch will carry forward the same powertrain options as the outgoing version. These include the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. Tata will also offer a CNG version of the Punch.
