Jawa has launched a new limited edition model of the Jawa 42. Called the 'Tawang Edition', it was introduced on the occasion of the Torgya festival in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh.

The Jawa 42 Tawang Edition will be sold exclusively in the state of Arunachal Pradesh and its neighbouring regions. It costs Rs 20,000 more than the standard version and production will be limited to 100 units.

The Tawang edition looks similar to the standard motorcycle, except for a few cosmetic changes. The bike gets the 'Lungta motif' on the fuel tank and fender, along with a unique bronze medallion with the production number.

Like the standard Jawa 42, the Tawang edition is also powered by a 293cc, liquid-cooled engine that makes 27 BHP and 27 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The bike gets telescopic fork suspension up front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are handled by single discs at both ends.
