Jeep Compass Limited Plus spotted ahead of launch

The upcoming Limited Plus variant of the Jeep Compass has been spotted ahead of its formal launch. It has been reported that the new variant could be launched sometime next month.

In Limited Plus trim, the Compass will receive a dual-tone exterior with chrome trim, dual-tone alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof. It is likely to get power adjustable driver and front passenger seats and a larger touchscreen infotainment system. The Limited Plus variant is expected to be positioned above the Limited trim. Safety features like dual front airbags, side and curtain airbags and rain-sensing wipers are likely to come as standard.

According to media reports, the Limited Plus variant will be offered with both petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine makes 160 BHP and 250 Nm of torque, while the 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel puts out 171 BHP and 350 Nm of torque. Both engine could be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
