Kawasaki Z900RS launched at Rs. 15.30 lakh

Kawasaki Z900RS made its debut at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show. The retro-styled naked bike has now been launched in India at Rs. 15.30 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The Z900RS measures 2,100 mm in length and its width and height are 865 mm and 1,150 mm respectively. The bike has a wheelbase of 1,470 mm and the seat is set at a height of 835 mm. The Z900RS weighs 215 kg (kerb weight) and comes with a 17-litre fuel tank. The bike will be available in 2 colour options, candytone brown and candytone orange.

The Z900RS takes inspiration from the classic Kawasaki Z1. It is based on a Z900 chassis that has been slightly tweaked. It features a circular LED headlamp, twin-pod analogue instrument cluster with chrome bezels and an LCD display in the centre. The bike has a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, blacked-out engine and crankcase and a 4-1 exhaust finished in chrome. The Z900RS rides on adjustable 41 mm inverted front forks and a monoshock at the rear.

The Kawasaki Z900RS is powered by a 948 cc, in-line 4-cylinder engine that produces 110 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and peak torque of 98 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike rides on 17-inch alloys shod with 120/70 section tires in the front and 180/55 in the rear. Braking is handled by twin 300 mm semi-floating discs with radially mounted 4-piston calipers and a single 250 mm rear disc with a single-piston caliper. It comes with safety features like Kawasaki Traction Control (KRTC) and ABS.
