Bookings for the Kia EV6 are set to open on May 26, 2022.

As Kia gears up to launch the EV6 in India, the company has released a short teaser video of the electric crossover.

The short 10-sec clip shows the LED headlamp of the EV6 lighting up. The LED daytime running lights light up in sequence, followed by the main headlamps.

The EV6 is based on Hyundai Group's Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). It comes with two battery options - 58 kWh and 77.4 kWh, both offered in single and dual motor versions. The 58 kWh battery with the single electric motor produces 168 BHP, while the dual-motor version has a combined output of 232 BHP.

The single-motor version with the 77.4 kWh battery packs 226 BHP, while the dual-motor version produces 321 BHP. The top-of-the-line dual-motor GT variant puts out 577 BHP and 740 Nm.

In India, the EV6 will be imported via the CBU route and is likely to be offered in a single variant.
