Kia evaluating Stinger, Sorento & Telluride for India

According to a media report, Kia is conducting a feasibility study on models like the Stinger, Sorento and Telluride. These could be imported via the completely knocked down unit (CKD) route.

The Kia Stinger is a performance sedan, which was unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo. The Sorento is a mid-size SUV that competes with the Hyundai Tucson, while the Telluride is the largest SUV in the company's line up. These models are expected to be positioned in the Rs. 10-50 lakh segment.

Reports suggest that Kia is also evaluating the Soul and Niro EV for the Indian market.

Earlier this year, Kia launched the Seltos SUV. The company is expected to launch the Carnival MPV sometime in 2020. A sub-4 meter compact SUV is also said to be on cards.
