Land Rover Discovery Sport loaned for disaster relief work

Jaguar Land Rover has loaned a specially prepared Discovery Sport to Rapid Response - an NGO that specializes in disaster management and relief. The vehicle will be used to provide rescue and medical assistance, distributing food and relief kits during natural calamities across India.

The Rapid Response Discovery Sport gets additional features such as a luggage carrier, luggage partition and tow rope among others. The car is painted in white and has the Rapid Response logo on the doors and on the bonnet.

In India, the Discovery Sport is available with two diesel and one petrol engine option. These include a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel with 148 BHP and 382 Nm of torque, a 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel that makes 177 BHP and 430 Nm and a 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine that produces 237 BHP and 340 Nm of torque. A 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive is standard across all variants.
