Land Rover launches Range Rover Evoque facelift at Rs. 47.1L

Land Rover has launched the Range Rover Evoque facelift in India at prices starting from Rs. 47.1 lakh (ex-showroom, pre-octroi in Mumbai). The vehicle gets some cosmetic changes as well as additional equipment.

Changes to the exteriors of the Evoque include reshaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs), new slim-line LED fog-lamps, a redesigned front bumper design, restyled alloy wheels and two new grille designs. While the Evoque's standard grille has two bold horizontal bars and a new fine-mesh grille pattern, the Dynamic derivative features a hexagonal design with a more prominent mesh area.

On the inside, the Evoque gets new seats and door casings, new colours and materials and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The refreshed Evoque also gets features such as a gesture tailgate function that allows customers to automatically open and close the tailgate by waving a foot beneath the rear bumper. Additionally, the vehicle comes with customer-configurable ambient interior lighting, with a range of ten colours and controlled through the touchscreen. Other features include a head-up display, surround camera system, 825 Watts Meridian surround sound system with 17 speakers and rear seat entertainment.

There are no mechanical changes to the Range Rover Evoque. It is powered by the same 2.2-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine as the pre-facelift model. This engine produces 188 BHP @ 3,500 rpm and 420 Nm of torque @ 1,750 rpm and is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.
