Locally assembled Jaguar XF launched at Rs. 47.50 lakh

Jaguar has launched the locally assembled XF sedan in India at prices starting from Rs. 47.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The car was initially launched in September last year and was brought into the country via the CBU route at a starting price of Rs. 49.50 lakh. However, Jaguar has now started assembling the XF locally at its plant in Pune, Maharashtra.

The locally assembled XF continues to be offered in 3 variants - Pure, Prestige and Portfolio. There are two engine options on offer: a petrol and a diesel. While the diesel can be opted in any of the three trims, the petrol is available only with the Prestige and Portfolio variants.

The 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine churns out 177 BHP and 430 Nm of torque, while being mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and RWD setup. The company claims a 0-100 km/h time of 8.1 seconds and a top speed of 229 km/h for the XF Diesel.
