Mahindra e2o launched in the UK at £ 12,995 (Rs. 12.26 lakh)

Mahindra has launched the e2o electric car in the UK. The car is available in two variants - e2o City, priced at £ 12,995 (Rs. 12.26 lakh) and e2o TechX, priced at £ 15,995 (Rs. 15.09 lakh).

The e20 comes with a 72V powertrain with a 13.9 kWh maintenance-free 69 cell lithium-ion battery pack. It has a claimed range of 79 miles (127 km) and a top speed of 63 mph (101 kph).

The e2o is equipped with features such as a starter button, boost mode, tyre pressure management system, daytime running lights, fog lights, power windows (front) and electrically adjustable mirrors. It also comes with a regenerative braking system (RBS) that harnesses energy during braking. Safety features include dual airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC).

The TechX variant comes with alloy wheels, rear windscreen wiper and washer, a Blaupunkt 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, USB and SD Card connectivity, Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, reversing camera, telematics, controls on the steering wheel for the infotainment system, e2o Remote smartphone app, Remote Charging Scheduler app, Revive remote emergency recharging, leather seats, air-conditioning, speed limiter and a rapid charging port (50kW DC).

The e2o is available for purchase at www.mahindrauk.com. Customers can book test drives online in London, Birmingham, Bristol and Milton Keynes, with additional test drive cities to be announced later. Deliveries will commence in May 2016.
