Mahindra XUV500 facelift launch on April 18, 2018

Mahindra is gearing up to launch the XUV500 facelift on April 18, 2018. As reported earlier, the XUV500 is likely to be offered in 5 variants and will be powered by an updated 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine.

Previous spy images have confirmed that the XUV500 will receive a new front end featuring a redesigned chrome grille and twin-pod headlamps with integrated LED DRLs as well as a tweaked front bumper. The rear fascia has been completely revised and now features triangular tail lamp clusters. The tailgate has been redesigned and so is the rear bumper. Besides, dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels will be available on the W11 trim. On the inside, the new XUV500 gets a leather-wrapped dashboard and a piano black centre console fascia. The seats get tan coloured leather upholstery with diamond stitching.

Now, Mahindra is yet to confirm the engines that will be offered on the new XUV500 however, reports suggest that the 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine has been tuned to produce 153 BHP and 360 Nm of torque. The car will come with a choice manual or automatic transmission, while the combination of all-wheel drive and automatic gearbox will be exclusive to the top-spec W11 (Opt) variant.
