Rumour: Maruti Suzuki to launch Fronx CNG this year

The Fronx CNG is likely to use the 1.2-litre engine and could be offered in Delta and Delta+ trims.

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx made its debut at Auto Expo 2023. At the moment, the crossover is available with two petrol engine options. However, as per the latest reports, CNG variants will be launched later this year.

The Fronx CNG is expected to be powered by the 1.2-litre engine, which develops 89 BHP and 113 Nm in petrol mode. It could be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Maruti is likely to offer a factory-fitted CNG option on select variants of the Fronx. Reports suggest that it could be available in Delta and Delta+ trims.

If these reports turn out to be true, then CNG customers would benefit from features such as a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electric ORVMs, steering-mounted controls, LED headlamps and 16-inch alloy wheels.
