Re: Maruti Fronx @ Auto Expo 2023

Visited Nexa Rajouri Delhi to have first look of the car. Looks smart from outside, all sides look good and spacious inside. Front seats felt comfortable however rear seats were very low on under thigh support. Overall it felt like a good city car. Made a small video shared below.

Re: Maruti Fronx @ Auto Expo 2023

Dropped in at a Nexa showroom to enquire and they said that the display car will be shown at certain malls and showrooms in the coming weeks. I believe it was already shown at some showrooms but only for 1 or 2 days, probably to gauge reactions.

The Nexa showroom I called has an automated answering call system that does not let you speak to anyone but instead records your number and announces that someone will call you(already got not one but 3 calls). The person on the first call told me that starting price would be Rs 10 lakhs ex-showroom, which in my opinion is high even for a hyped up Maruti crossover, unless they are setting higher expectations and then planning to announce a lower price.

Highly unlikely that for Fronx, a jacked up Baleno, starting ex showroom price would be from 10 lakhs considering Grand Vitara starting ex showroom prices is from 10.45 lakhs. Most likely, would have confused with the other NEXA launch, Jimny or would have specified the starting ex showroom prices for Fronx turbo variants, which if true, would still be priced at a premium rather than being priced competitively.

Re: Maruti Fronx @ Auto Expo 2023

Maruti Fronx CNG spied with emission testing kit in Pune.

Quote:
Fronx could get CNG option right from start, or it could be introduced later, as was the case with Grand Vitara

Maruti Suzuki's Fronx likely to debut in all variants including CNG:

Maruti is expected to launch the Fronx in March; the CNG variants could debut soon.

Baleno’s 1.2-litre petrol-CNG engine is rated at 78PS/98.5Nm while running on CNG.

CNG could be available with its mid-spec Delta and Zeta variants.

CNG variants could feature LED headlamps, a seven-inch touchscreen system, wireless charger, and six airbags.

The Fronx is expected to retail from Rs 8 lakh; CNG could command Rs 1 lakh over corresponding petrol variants.

These days almost everyone is turning to automated reply. When they ask to speak just say "connect to customer executive" and you will be connected.

Re: Maruti Fronx @ Auto Expo 2023

Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG launch this year.

Expect the Fronx CNG to be priced about a lakh more than its petrol equivalent.

Quote:
Like Maruti’s other CNG models, the factory fitted CNG kit on the Fronx is expected to be offered only with the 1.2-litre engine. In petrol mode, this engine produces 90hp and 113Nm, while in CNG mode, the outputs dip to 77hp and 98.5Nm of torque. The Fronx CNG will likely only be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox,

Re: Maruti Fronx @ Auto Expo 2023

To those who have seen the car in flesh, is the Nexa blue(Celeste ) color different from the plain Nexa blue on Baleno and Ciaz?

In the photos, this looks like a darker shade.

I took a look at the vehicle in person. It is the same Nexa Blue as on the current gen Baleno. Not even a shade of a difference

Re: Maruti Fronx @ Auto Expo 2023

I have a query. Is it possible to change color and/or variant? Without cancelling and rebooking? I have booked zeta AT with blue color. But if it is same as Baleno, I may change it to white.

The nexa website mentions XL6 has the Nexa Blue (Celestial) will all other cars have the regular Nexa Blue.

As far as I know, most dealerships allow this. Only downside could be a delay in vehicle delivery date as initially promised.

Re: Maruti Fronx @ Auto Expo 2023

Will Maruti Suzuki India publish/reveal the crash testing rating of FRONX at the time of launch itself ????

source : https://www.rushlane.com/maruti-fron...-12457627.html

Hoping to get a better overall safety rating than Baleno. I owned Baleno (pre facelift) and had a very bad experience after being side brushed by a truck on a water logged highway at the same time Latin NCAP gave it zero rating. I sold the vehicle soon after getting the vehicle repaired.
